Hot.
Aika and I spent last year in Shanghai, so we were in the Northern Hemisphere for their last summer (around July). In April of this year we left Shanghai for Sydney via Seoul. For those who don’t know, it’s freezing cold in Shanghai in December, and around April is when it starts to get warm. We arrived in Sydney just as it started getting chilly.
So we’ve gone for more than a year without a summer.
Sydney seems to be trying to make up for it though, it’s absolutely scorching hot. It’s so hot that you can almost see the heat. So hot that standing in the shade doesn’t help. So hot that it radiates through your clothes and you can’t walk without dragging your feet.
